Linosa is an Island of vulcanic origin located in the Channel of Sicily, in the middle of the Mediterranean. it's part of the archipelago of the Pelagie that comprises also Lampedusa and Lampione.

"The ferry"

The island has a circular shape and an extension of 5.4 kmq, and it's origin dates back more than a million years.

"The Hydrofoil"

The island of Linosa can only be reached by sea using the ferries and hydrofoil's that depart from the ports of Lampedusa and Porto Empedocle (AG).

The travel options are the following:

FLIGHT TO LAMPEDUSA AND HYDROFOIL OR FERRY

  • Direct flights to Lampedusa depart from some Italian cities like for example Milan,Rome and Bologna;
  • Transfer from the airport to the port by taxi or bus;
  • Hydrofoil or ferry to Linosa.

The hydrofoil departs from Lampedusa in the morning and the afternoon,sea conditions allowing, and takes 1 hour to reach Linosa.The ferry departs in the morning  once a day and takes around 2 hours to reach the destination.

 FLIGHT TO PALERMO OR CATANIA + BUS TRANSFER +HYDROFOIL OR FERRY

  • Direct flight to Palermo or Catania;
  • Transfer from the Airport to Porto Empedocle (AG) by bus (consult the summer timetable of SAL for more details);
  • Hydrofoil or Ferry to Linosa.
